I was a passenger in a car when my 86 year old father-in-law was driving.

My breakfast of fresh blueberries, organic nonfat yogurt, and a third cup of raw oat bran sprinkled with a cup of walnuts.

When Cal beats up on USC in football

Testimony: I was raised in a partially Christian home.  I Gave my life to Christ as a kid but didn’t experience the love and forgiveness of Christ until I was in high school.  While serving on a mission trip I felt a distinct calling to be a minister.  I worked in youth ministry in the church and Young Life before coming to serve at Community Bible Church as the Adults Ministries Pastor in July of 1999.

Favorite book: Let Go – François Fenelon

Hobbies: Reading, shooting guns, hanging out with my family, and Stock Trading with monopoly money.

Favorite foods: Mexican and lobster together or separate

Favorite musician: Louise Armstrong

Favorite TV show or movie: 24 and Star Wars

Guiltiest pleasure: It involves a lot of ice cream.

Significant moment in your life: Jesus Epiphany

Interesting place you have visited: Four corners – only place in the U.S where four states come together in this way. It’s amazing!

Heroes: Dick Winters from Band of Brothers and Count Zinzendorf of the Moravian Brotherhood.

Ambitions: To be more like Christ.

Embarrassing memory: I was always the short kid.

As I have been reading through the book of Psalms, I have been reminded again of the faithfulness of God.

Backpacked to the top of Mt. Whitney.

Cornish pasties, Italian food, Mexican food, steak and homemade pie.

I don’t have any of these. All mine are guilt free!

Most daring thing you have ever done:
Asking my girlfriend to senior prom on her birthday with everyone watching.

Favorite foods:
Like any good youth pastor, Pizzaaah!, and French onion soup, love kabobs, gyros, anything with lots of garlic and Mongolian BBQ.

Significant moment in your life:
The moment I was saved. Or perhaps, one year at Wildwood (Hume Lake Christian Camp) during the solo time I sat on Abraham’s Alter (a table used for group challenges) and I prayed to God that my life would be a sacrifice up to Him…Now I am trying to live that out each day.

Favorite memory:
Probably when I was a child we created an entire merchant-style economy out of beads where we traded and sold toys and trinkets, including Pokémon cards and McDonald’s Furbys. Or getting lost in the woods with the best people and laughing about it the entire time. Playing barefoot soccer at Wildwood, or my first time playing Paintball are certainly up there. I could go on…

Ideal vacation:
Israel or Egypt

Favorite restaurant:
Mongolian BBQ, and Chipotle or T2 Yan

Ambitions:
To become a licensed pastor, graduate seminary, get married and have kids, run a marathon, do a double back flip, become fluent in Spanish, memorize the sermon on the mount, and serve God all the days of my life.

I’m not a big reader.  I tend start a lot of books but never finish them.  But here are a few:  An Unstoppable Force, Erwin McManus, Blue Like Jazz, Donald Miller, Of Mice and Men, Steinbeck, and any technical how to books (from photography, to BBQing, to sound engineering…)

Hobbies:
Photography, Music, Electronics, Grilling out, playing with my two daughters.

Favorite foods:
Anything Mexican and spicy, Choripan (Argentine Sausage sandwhich).

Most daring thing you have ever done:
Sell everything and move my whole family to Argentina for two years.

David Crowder, John Mark McMillan, Chris Tomlin, John Mayer, Ben Rector.

Jungles of Ghana, Andes Mountains, back streets of Buenos Aires, Red Square in Moscow.

Round Table Pizza and a good action movie.

Ideal vacation:
New Zealand, a 4×4 Jeep, my family, and a lot of time.

The miles and miles of Folsom bike trails.

What has God been teaching you:
That I have a lot to learn about life, love, worship, and what it means to be the man God wants me to be.  I’m just glad he’s patient with me.

Significant moment in your life:
Realizing, for the first time, there is a God who wants a relationship with me.

Sitting at home all day long and reading my favorite book with all of my favorite foods within reach.

Marrying my husband and best friend.

Ideal vacation:
Greece. It is the last place my dad went before he died, and has always been significant in that way for me.

My husband, for showing me that love is much more than what I thought it to be.

Anywhere Mexican!

The hill overlooking the city. That is where my husband proposed to me.

To be all God has planned for me to be. I want to be able to tell my grand kids story after story of where God showed up in my life.
